About HIT Intensive Program in Japanese and Japanese Culture

The 6 week HIT Intensive Program is specially designed for students of theUniversity of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), our partner institution. This program was founded since 2001.

Outline

Period

June - July (about 6 weeks) each year

Ｎumber of UIUC students to be accepted

About 10 student（minimum number of students for the Program is 6 ）

Courses offered

  • (1)30 hours of Japanese (= Elementary Japanese) I; 2 HIT credits
  • 30 hours of Japanese (=Elementary Japanese) II; 2 HIT credits
  • (2)30 hours of Japanese Culture; 2 HIT credits
  • ※No intermediate or advanced Japanese courses are offered
  • ※1 hour = 45 minutes

Lodging

 Lodging is either HIT Residential Hall or homestay. We ask three volunteer organizations for host families.
