Information technology offers humankind limitless possibilities for growth. The Faculty of Applied Information Science consists of three departments: the Department of Computer Science, the Department of Information Systems and Management, and the Department of Health Science. The aim of this faculty is to foster well-educated personnel capable of contributing to the creation of an information-sophisticated society through practical use of specialized skills centred on information-related technology.
This department is organized into three fields: Computing; Multimedia, and Networks, this department concentrates on the information and communication technology (ICT) that supports our present-day network society through study and research of programming, computer architecture, embedded systems, image information and speech and sound information processing, network systems, ubiquitous technologies and databases.
Organized into three educational categories: Information Processing, Information Systems Technology, and Management Information Science, this department is committed to develop both practical and high level technology, and the broad knowledge necessary to support the information activities of societies, through study and research of software engineering, information systems, and project management.
Organized into three fields: Food Science and Biotechnology; Health and Sports Sciences and Medical Informatics, this department provides a broad, practical education in food for good health, nutrition and metabolism, exercise programs for building a healthy body, practical exercise for maintaining health, boosting health and prevention of discase, and health maintenance through scientific assessment of bioinformation.
