Faculty of Engineering

Department of Architectural Engineering

In this department, students acquire comprehensive knowledge of architecture and digital technologies, covering all aspects from building planning and design to construction and post-completion maintenance. They also develop skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership. The program aims to cultivate architects who can contribute to addressing modern societal challenges, including " the creation of sustainable cities" and "the building of safe and disaster-resilient communities."

Education and Research Areas

  • Architectural Structures

Through courses such as "Structural Analysis Methods," "Reinforced Concrete Structures," and "Architectural Structure Experiments," students acquire essential knowledge for designing disaster-resilient buildings.

  • Building Production, Maintenance, and Materials

By studying subjects such as "Building Materials," "Geotechnical Engineering," and "Construction Management," students gain expertise in building production and maintenance while mastering safe and sustainable construction technologies.

  • Architectural Design and Planning

Courses such as "Architectural Planning," "Urban Planning," "Architectural History," and "Architectural Aesthetics and Techniques" equip students with the theoretical and practical knowledge essential for planning and designing diverse architectural structures.

  • Architectural Environment and Facilities

Through subjects such as "Architectural Environmental Engineering" and "Building Facilities," students acquire expertise in environmental and facility systems while developing the skills to create comfortable indoor spaces and sustainable architectural and urban environments.
