Department of Computer Science

This department offers a structured and systematic curriculum covering the fundamental principles of information and communication technologies, including computers, interfaces, and networks. Students also deepen their understanding of ever-evolving technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), sensing, cloud computing, and AI. Through this comprehensive education, the program cultivates engineers to lead the forthcoming Society5.0.

Education and Research Areas

  • Computers

    Students acquire foundational knowledge of computers including computer architecture and operating systems. They also deepen their understanding of embedded system technologies, which form the foundation of IoT. Additionally, they study control engineering and IoT technology applications, both of which are essential when involved in actual computer system development.

  • Interfaces

    Students study digital signal processing to acquire foundational knowledge of signal processing systems. They also study sensing and image processing, which are essential technologies for data collection and processing in IoT. Furthermore, they explore advanced interface technologies, including VR and interface technology applications.

  • Networks

    Students acquire essential knowledge of information network systems required of IoT engineers, including introductory networking, network technologies, and information security. They also study cloud technologies and network system applications, which are crucial for real-world network system development.
